always scheduled me because i would do everything and he could just sit on his thumb all day. complained any time he had to raise a finger. Meanwhile, JOSHUA avoided all work constantly and rarely left the office. she was no bs when it came to getting shit done but we had fun and let off steam together. she was 5 ft of terrifying but it was good fun. my favorite boss would kick off her shoes and chase us around.

and having a relationship like this with your boss is the best. every good manager i had was in the shits elbow deep with us each shift made sure the place ran. theyre lazy and they dont care about their jobs. managers that sit in the office on their ass all day are horrible. The best managers ARE the ones that get hands on and help with the work. all except for JOSH who was addicted to facebook and complained that his paperwork wasnt done because he watched the same video over and over instead of doing his paperwork and refused to help clean or do anything. We were working 2-3 jobs each at the same time while only getting paid for one. and if you had a league add a server, but they go home as soon as the league is done and cleaned up after. 2 person shifts (manager, mechanic) when the bare minimum is 3 (manager, mechanic, kitchen) and thats for slow nights, like mondays. after close theyd finish up their closing paperwork fast instead of scrolling facebook, and help us get out on time at night because we were short staffed. Meanwhile other managers were only in the office an hour or two a night and hung out up front when they had nothing to do, waiting to help out. if he went in the kitchen it was pretty much to stand there with his dick in his hand and get in the way. The aforementioned boss is the same one i posted about earlier and months into him working there practically none of the bowlers knew who this man was and he called me in to work any time he, god forbid, had to man the front desk himself on a slow night. these ppl held up my line for 30 minutes. to the point that one of them went into the bathroom to talk to him while he had his pants around his ankles. i had a manager sit in the bathroom for an hour because he didnt want to deal with irate customers. so the difference between one shift and another was stark depending on who headed it. all the other managers ive dealt with at other places have been like, normalish and what youd expect but the bowling alley attracts some PERSONALITY my god. I had the best and worst managers ive ever had work at the same time and place.

tl dr i pretty much just bitched about my old shitty job and its a wonderful example of why these jobs arent getting filled now bc i was getting $8.97 an hour to deal with all that bullshit Ill warn you im stoned and have no clue if im even close to hitting my point here.
